Unreal! So I've been reading all about the Hollywood Hills cat burglars- who cased and robbed the homes of a bunch of local celebrities including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and maybe even Orlando Bloom and Megan Fox!
Well, it looks like they didn't bring their own bags for the capers. Duh! I guess why do that when they've got their pick of hot designer bags to pick from? The image above is just SOME of Paris Hilton's jewelry that they heisted- and the Louis Vuitton Monogramouflage Keepall that they carried it all in!
I love seeing Epi out and about! It's such a great wearing leather and just looks fantastic forever!
This is Nicole Scherzinger at Heathrow yesterday en route to Abu Dhabi... and she's rocking the Louis Vuitton Epi Alma in Cassis. I just think it's a hot piece that looks amazing with what she's wearing- is roomy AND is easy to care for.
I just read a quote that I LOVE from NY Mag's The Cut Blog... from the mother of all fashionphiles- Anna Wintour:
"I usually wear the same dress twenty times. I think it's always fun to have something new, but it doesn't mean that everything you already have in your closet has to be thrown out, you know? Recycle. It's totally ok - I even recommend it."
I love this concept and and have been itching to blog along these lines a bit. Ya know, shop your own closet... don't be afraid to wear something too much- just make it new (read about The Uniform Project- same dress, different looks for 365 days a year- all for a great cause!!!) Mix something "old" with something new (or new to you!) and different.
And of course- don't forget the fabulous local and online vintage and secondhand stores (and Fashionphile of course!)- for not only a Green option, but for an amazing opportunity to add something to your look that no one else is wearing!
I mean, really... David Beckham's just oozing testosterone in this airport shot. I know people love to talk about his metrosexiness, but he's definitely going for English rugged and burly here!
I do Love Louis Vuitton luggage on a man! We don't have the Waterproof Keepall right now- but we do have a few authentic Louis Vuitton monogram Keepalls in the shop right now at less than retail! Be sure to check them out
Me neither! Or maybe you missed them from last weeks Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris? If so... don't fret! Check out this vid from NY Mag's The Cut. Jeremy Kost makes you feel like you were there!
Remember the collaboration that I blogged about a couple days ago? The one Naomi Campbell & Marc Jacobs worked out so that Louis Vuitton would donate a portion of the sales of a particular bag to the White Ribbon Alliance? Well, I still don't know the name of the bag- but that's Naomi with it in the picture above!
So happy to see Naomi working to combat maternal mortality. It's a great cause. Pretty is what pretty does... and Naomi's looking mighty fine!
Well, when I blogged about the amazing Louis Vuitton Vernis Alma GM bag that we are giving away right now on BagSnob (what, you haven't entered yet?) a couple days ago... several of you commented about how FABULOUS it is- and how you'd just seen it on Real Housewives of Altanta. Kim's rocking it in the same color (Pomme D'Amour!) on her Amex Black card flashing shopping spree at Justice (my girls love that store!). The still above is totally lame- but you can see the scene here-
Don't forget to sign up over at BagSnob for your chance to win this GORGEOUS bag!
Naomi Campbell's using her pull with old pal Marc Jacobs (I did NOT know that she started modeling for him when she was 16!) to do some inspiring work! They've developed fabulous collaboration with Louis Vuitton that will benefit the "White Ribbon Alliance"- a group that works to fight maternal mortality. (Did you know that "every minute of every day, a woman dies of pregnancy related complications, totaling more than one half million women each year"? Check the White Ribbon website- it's compelling!).
Naomi picked a Louis Vuitton bag that will sell with a portion going to the White Ribbon Alliance. The name of the bag hasn't been released yet, but WWD describes it as a "Soft, square style, its signature canvas stitched in strips atop metallic leather." Sounds lovely! It will retail for $2,789 this March- and will be released in junction with the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.
I love this. I hope they sell a ton of these bags- and that the White Ribbon Alliance gets a real boost! We need to do what we can to help stop maternal deaths! Nice that buying a fabulous bag is playing a part!
Don't miss this! We've gotten together with the bag lovers of all bag lovers over at Bag Snob for this fabulous giveaway in honor of their anniversary!
This is an amazing Louis Vuitton Pomme D'Amour Vernis Alma GM ($2,520 retail)! It's such a show stopper and a perfect bag for this fall. There are just a few bag blogs that we just don't miss- and BagSnob is one of them! Run over to the BagSnob blog to find out more and sign up for the chance to win this amazing bag. You've only got till just before midnight on October 31, so get going!!!
So... this past year, luxury brands have really taken the plunge face first into this whole social media phenomenon! And Louis Vuitton is right up there. Ever since they ditched Eluxury as their retail outlet, they've been really amping it up... with their YouTube Channel, numerous Facebook pages and of course burning it up on Twitter!
But I have to say that the Fashion Show that Louis Vuitton is throwing LIVE on Facebook this morning shows that they really get it! I'm stoked to see how it plays out- but it's going to be streaming live on Wed. October 7 at 2:30 pm Paris time- or 8:30 am EST or GULP 5:30 am my time (Pacific!) Yikes.
Don't freak out if you don't get up that early- or if you missed it. They're showing it on the Louis Vuitton Fan Page for another 24 hours. There are already almost 50,000 confirmed "attendees"... wonder how many will watch it online?
