I just read a quote that I LOVE from NY Mag’s The Cut Blog… from the mother of all fashionphiles- Anna Wintour:
“I usually wear the same dress twenty times. I think it’s always fun to have something new, but it doesn’t mean that everything you already have in your closet has to be thrown out, you know? Recycle. It’s totally ok – I even recommend it.”
I love this concept and and have been itching to blog along these lines a bit. Ya know, shop your own closet… don’t be afraid to wear something too much- just make it new (read about The Uniform Project- same dress, different looks for 365 days a year- all for a great cause!!!) Mix something “old” with something new (or new to you!) and different.
And of course- don’t forget the fabulous local and online vintage and secondhand stores (and Fashionphile of course!)- for not only a Green option, but for an amazing opportunity to add something to your look that no one else is wearing!
