You may have seen Kanye’s relatively new video for Heartless.

It uses a process called rotoscoping where artists take regular video film footage and basically trace and draw each image frame by frame.

I thought it was interesting that Heartless has a bunch of the scenes rotoscoped in Kanye’s real house.  (Check out more pictures of his place in Interior Design Mag.)  The picture on the above left is a rotoscope of the picture on the right- a shot taken inside one of the rooms in Kanye’s Los Angeles house.

Interesting that Kanye’s vintage Damier trunk came rotoscoped borderline Azur!  And maybe the artist’s a vegetarian?  Notice that one of my mom’s old favorites Campbell’s “Hot Dog Bean” soup was replaced by Vegetable!

Apparently, for a change of pace after all the hard work on his new album, Kanye West’s hoping to pick up an internship with Louis Vuitton to help him learn the process of “designing a line”.

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye.  Dang.  Come on, friend.  I know you don’t like the paps in your face, but show some restraint.  The hoodie was perfect- just don’t give them a good picture, and you win.

But, at least it looks like your gorgeous Special Order Azur Christopher Backpack made through the ordeal unscathed!

So predicatably, Kane West made Vanity Fair Magazine’s “Best Dressed of 2008″ list.

But I thought it was interesting that as part of the interview for the spread, Kanye said,

Favorite fashion purchase of 2008: “A special-order red Epi leather Christopher backpack from Louis Vuitton.”

Kanye blogged about his amazing OOAK Special Order Louis Vuitton Azur Christopher just a couple weeks ago.  His manager, Don C blogged about his Special Order OOAK red epi Louis Vuitton Christopher months ago- titleing the post “LV Red Epi Christopher!!! (1 of 1) None B4 None 2 Come…

I’ve seen pics of Kanye with his Monogram Christopher AND his Damier Azure Christopher- but never a red Epi.  And I’ve seen pics of Don C with the Red Epi Christopher… but if they REALLY only made one…

Is Don C’s Christopher a “hand me down” or did he just think Kanye’s pack was hot (which the red epi is) and so he blogged about it.  In fairness… the post never said, “look at MY amazing SO Red Epi Christopher…”  I just assumed.

Hmmm, enquiring minds want to know!

Kanye just blogged that he’s been waiting a year and a half for his Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Christopher backpack.  (He already has one in the traditional Monogram Toile).

Again, I know I blogged about this before, but what is it about these guys and their Louis Vuitton Christopher backpacks?

(Kanye at Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Spring/Summer ‘08-09, Paris Fashion Weeek last Friday)

Well, we heard the rumors back in early April- and so many people doubted… but it looks like he got it done.  WWD’s scooping that Kanye’s inked a deal with Louis Vuitton to work together on a line of men’s shoes.  He and Pharrell et al have taken this nerd look to a whole new level.  (Basically, think anything Weird Al would don in one of my favorite videos of all time… If you haven’t seen this video, check it out below. It’s a classic and a must!)

I’m really interested in what he’s gonna come up with, aren’t you?

I really wish I could get a look at this. Someone sent me a little head’s up that the $7150 Alzer hard case that Louis Vuitton gave Kanye West for his 30th birthday last year may have some cool custom paint. I’m pretty sure the image above is on the case. It’s Kanye’s Graduation Bear with a LV monogram shirt.

OK… Maybe he just stumbled upon a post or two, but still I’m stoked that he used one of my pictures for his most recent post. His blog’s always got cool art & design stuff… but I always watch for the glimpses of his amazing, sometimes obscure, limited edition and special order Louis Vuitton pieces.

Kanye, if you read this… Pretty, please, we’d LOVE to see a pic of the Louis Vuitton Azur Alzer suitcase that you got from Louis Vuitton on your birthday last year!!! I heard it has some sweet paint!

OK… that last blog entry reminded me of something I noticed while checking out Kanye’s Harper’s Bazaar spread. You remember the picture above, right?

Well, of course, the stack of Louis Vuitton hardcases caught my eye. But there’s one particular piece that stuck out… right below the Louis Vuitton Azur Boite on top. Do you see it?
