Ahhh, love these! Behind the Scenes with Madonna & Marc Jacobs for the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2009/2010 ad campaign shot by Steven Meisel.
Funny, cause the "Bunny Ears" never said "French courtesan" or "French coquette" to me... but apparently, that's what they're saying to Marc.
I mean, other than the fact that she looks part robot, part mannequin (which must be the heavily photoshopped look they were going for)... I actually like her in the bunny ears for this one! And there's something modern and fun about the colors and visual effect of the shot that I really like!

"Models, shmodels. Last night's Costume Institute Gala, as many papers this morning would have you believe, was all about Madonna. Screw the vintage Scavullo photographs of Lauren Hutton, screw Brooke Shields's infamous Calvins from the eighties, screw Gisele in her fabric scrap of a minidress, but most of all, screw Kate Moss's turban. None of those things matter when Madonna shows up looking like a cleaning lady moonlighting as a stripper who washed her Xanax down with one too many margaritas before she changed outfits. And it was a genius, if not very attractive, fashion moment for her and Marc Jacobs, who designed the Louis Vuitton ensemble. Because on a night dedicated to the world's most beautiful women, no one — especially a non-model — could win by trying to look the most beautiful. So looking a bit drunk before you actually got drunk wasn't a bad way to steal attention from Kate Moss and her paltry headpiece. And she got plenty of attention."

Can this possibly be true? They're saying that Madonna's current boy toy, "Jesus Luz" will join her in shoot for Louis Vuitton shot by Steven Meisel. It was reported in the Cut... which is reputable, but their source? Made in Brazil?
Jesus Luz first joined Madonna in that raunchy W Magazine spread in March. And apparently she couldn't quit. So he ended up following her to New York and basically everywhere else she went. I thought they were "off again"... but who knows.
What is it about a Madonna and Jesus hook-up that just seems so very, very wrong? You couldn't make this stuff up!!!

Looks like Madonna's in for another go... I mean why not? The last one got tons of press- and she and Marc have a little mutual love fest going on. It's always good for the shoot when the behind the scenes chemistry is good. Meisel's doing the pictures again... and I can't wait to see them!

I read that Madonna only shot six spots for her Louis Vuitton collaboration. We saw these two. Then this one. So these must be the last three.
