I just read a quote that I LOVE from NY Mag's The Cut Blog... from the mother of all fashionphiles- Anna Wintour:

I just read a quote that I LOVE from NY Mag's The Cut Blog... from the mother of all fashionphiles- Anna Wintour:

"I usually wear the same dress twenty times. I think it's always fun to have something new, but it doesn't mean that everything you already have in your closet has to be thrown out, you know? Recycle. It's totally ok - I even recommend it."

I love this concept and and have been itching to blog along these lines a bit. Ya know, shop your own closet... don't be afraid to wear something too much- just make it new (read about The Uniform Project- same dress, different looks for 365 days a year- all for a great cause!!!) Mix something "old" with something new (or new to you!) and different.

And of course- don't forget the fabulous local and online vintage and secondhand stores (and Fashionphile of course!)- for not only a Green option, but for an amazing opportunity to add something to your look that no one else is wearing!

OK, say what you will about Anna Wintour, but I just think she's a little cutie! I mean, look at that face! I just want to pinch those cheeks!

This is Anna at the Murakami x Louis Vuitton x Brooklyn Museum of Art "Brooklyn Ball". I've seen her carrying this particular piece before and I have to say I'm totally stumped by it.

What the heck is it? Agenda? Clutch? Book cover? I really can't say.

EDITED: Just got a note from DeluxeDuck.... It looks like this is "the Monogram Perle Pochette from S/S 2000. the Monogram pattern is made up of tiny beads." It was in the fakes episode of Sex in the City- Samantha carried it... Check the comments below. Thanks Duck

(not such a great pic from Marc Jacob's MySpace page...)

And is pretty fat.

(pic: wireimage.com)

Any of you have any other information on it? I love it... and would love to hear more!

What I didn't know, was the date that Sundance would be showing it... until now!

I was just browsing through my latest Marie Claire magazine, when I stumbled up on this little article... and it's reminder to:

Check out the Sundance Channel's documentary Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton. Premieres during fashion week, February 4 at 8 p.m. EST.

Wouldn't miss it... especially with this killer list of "extras"!!!

Anna Wintour (Editor-in-chief of Vogue Mag- but you knew that!), Posh, of course, Demi Moore and her Boy, Lil' Kim, Sharon Stone, Takashi Murakami, one of his many muses- Sophia Coppola, Catherine Deneuve, Uma Thurman, Naomi Cambell and many more!!!
