Kanye West Louis Vuitton Montsouris MM

Occasionally, I'll get emails that I think are really interesting or would be helpful to more of my readers... so I'll post the question and response here in my blog.

Dear fashionphile,

I've had an eye on the large Montsouris GM backpack in your store.  I really want the Christopher but can't find it.  Would a gm work on a man or is it too small.  Could I get a picture of it on a guy?

He's asking about the authentic pre-owned Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM backpack on our website.  And, I hear this quite a bit, because Louis Vuitton does so many sizes of backpack...

Kanye's wearing the Monogram Montsouris GM above... and the Louis Vuitton Monogram Christopher here:

And here's Kanye again with the Louis Vuitton Monogram Montsouris GM:

Allen Iverson carries a Louis Vuitton Monogram Montsouris GM as well:

It's a great sized bag for a man or a woman!  A bit smaller than the Christopher- but plenty roomy, and big enough to look right.  Don't get me wrong...

Size matters!  Here's my tiny daughter a few years ago, when she was like 4 years old... and she's wearing LV Mini Montsouris backpack:

Remember, you don't have to be the "Louis Vuitton Don" or play professional basketball to afford authentic Louis Vuitton.  The pre-owned authentic Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM backpack on our website is priced at $649- half off the $1300 retail price from the Louis Vuitton Boutique or eLuxury.  Check it out!!!

Kanye West Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM Backpack

Well, I guess they don't call him the "Louis Vuitton Don" for nothing. He rocks the heck out of that Louis Vuitton Monogram Montsouris GM backpack...

In fact... it looks like that picture may have inspired Alex Melamid's depiction of Kanye in his "Holy Hip Hop" exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

What makes it even more interesting is that it looks like Melamid has changed it up a bit- and Kanye appears to be sporting a special edition Louis Vuitton Nomade Christopher (I don't know if Kanye actually has one, so this may just be Melamid's artistic license at work!)

Anyway, you don't have to be the Louis Vuitton Don to carry an authentic monogram Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM backpack. We've got a pre-owned Montsouris on eBay right now and even the "Buy it Now" price is less than 50% of Louis Vuitton's retail! The reserve is more like 1/3. Be sure to take a look!

Make a Wish Jordan shopping

(Jordan's Make a Wish Shopping Spree)

What a great story...  There's a seventeen year old Arizona boy named Jordan who has been diagnosed with autoimmune deficiency syndrome.  So, the Make a Wish Foundation gets involved- you know, the organization that steps in to "grant wishes" for children with life threatening illnesses.  Jordan's only wish?

“I wish to have a fashion shopping spree in New York City.”

I love it!  I mean, check out the ear to ear smile on Jordan's face...

Neiman Marcus and the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall got involved and threw him a pre-NY send-off party, a tour of his favorite stores (see him trying on a Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM backpack above)- and showered him with gifts.  Then he got a fancy lunch and the next week he flew to NYC for his trip.   Read his story here...

His face says it all...  If his story has inspired you to donate to the Make a Wish Foundation... click here.

Name that Boutique! Louis Vuitton #1

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

OK... I thought this might be a fun little game. I travel a lot, and since I sell luxury bags for a living- I always check out the local boutiques. In fact, I will go out of my way to drop into Louis Vuitton if I'm in the area.

So, I thought I'd give you a little test- to see if you can guess where I am in pictures with the boutiques that I visit. This is from a trip in May 2007.

I'll give you three clues!

  1. That's me below-on the right, with my sister in law on the left and a great friend in the middle...

  2. That's me below...with DH. Sorry for the scowl! The sun was really in my eyes!

  3. If you don't have it from those clues... this one should give it to you!

This Louis Vuitton red epi Montsouris backpack was made to celebrate the 700th year of the reign of the Grimaldi family. It has really fantastic embossing on the back of a crown, with the name of this wonderful little country (the second smallest independant nation in the world) with the dates 1297-1997. It also has the crown on the pocket zipper pull!
