Louis Vuitton Rodeo Window

Love the window display at the Louis Vuitton boutique around the corner- on Rodeo Drive!  I love the creativity behind these displays.  They always make me think of the part of the Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton documentary where shows some of them put up and being evaluated by- I believe it was Bernard Arnault himself!

Anyway, anything cool up in the windows of the boutiques in your neighborhood?  Take a quick pic on your phone and email it over!  I'd love to post it!!!

LV’s got some new LV!

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Ohhhh... sparkly! Totally love it. Ya can't throw a rock in Las Vegas without hitting a Louis Vuitton boutique. The video above shows the light show at Louis Vuitton City Center in celebration of the opening of the new Crystals store. This one is the largest in the US and the 5th largest worldwide.

Anyone else need to make a little trip to LV for some LV?

Infiniti Essense Louis Vuitton Trunk

Be sure to stop by the Louis Vuitton Boutique at Carmel Plaza on Tuesday to see the new Infinity Essence concept car with the killer Louis Vuitton Graphite Damier bespoke luggage for the slide out trunk!  (Check out more fabulousness HERE!)

My uncle David lives in Carmel- one of my favorite little towns in the world!  He gave me the grand tour last year- and it's such an amazing place- incredible architecture, history, natural beauty- trees & beaches & fab shopping & food!!!  We stopped by Carmel Plaza- which is an adorable outdoor, three level shopping area- all wood, with tons of trees and flowers- all open and breezy!  Unfortunately, the LV Boutique had just closed- so I still haven't been in :(

This is a perfect opportunity for all of you Fashionphiles out there with SOs who may not be in for a stop at the boutique- but would totally be up for a look at one of the hottest concept cars this year!  It totally looks like liquid metal!!!

If any of you locals drop by... be sure to send me a pic please!

Tweet it to me and I'll retweet it out!

(And David- this is right up your alley- Fashionphile AND automobile aficionado!!!)

Jeremy Deller for Louis Vuitton Westfield, London

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Anyone seen the Louis Vuitton X Jeremy Deller collaboration at the new Westfield Mall boutique in London?

I mean, I get the whole "English garden" thing... but this is OTT!   I usually get this stuff... but I'm missing something here.  It seems like a lot of green, and a lot of hay, but  not a lot of bags.  Hmmm...

Anyone who's been there?  Can you give us some insight???

Louis Vuitton X Murakami Carnival Toys

Monday, April 27th, 2009

This is the new look for the Louis Vuitton Omotesando boutique.  You'll notice the Murakami flower wallpaper and also what I love- a bunch of Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami plush psychodelic fleur carnival toys!  (Don't know what else to call these massive stuffed animals- but they're bringing me major flashbacks of the infamous Helotes Corn-y-val!)

Vuitton Champs-Elysées Paris Flagship

The historic Champs-Elysées Louis Vuitton boutique stayed open Sunday, violating a court order by French Authorities that it close in an effort to promote "domestic rest".

Apparently labor laws in France place limitations on which businesses can be open on Sundays.  However, it's possible that retailer can get an exception if the business has "cultural, recreational or sportive" aspects.  Louis Vuitton claims there is a cultural aspect to what they do.  There is the La Maison Louis Vuitton, the museum at the Champs boutique where you'll find art exhibits as well as displays on the Louis Vuitton's history.

WWD reported that at the LV Fashion Show last week Vuitton CEO Yves Carcelle said, “It’ll be open on Sunday,” and then he cited a different order that says they aren't affected by the decision.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes down...

Pardon our dust!

Map to Fashionphile

We're only about 1.3 miles up the road from our old office- so you'd think it would be a breeze of a move! But, whew!!!

The last few weeks in December are typically some of our slowest, so we used the time to move up the road.  We're totally excited- as it's a much bigger place, in a really fun location!  We're on the corner of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire- right behind the Rodeo Louis Vuitton.

But, come on over!  We're still moving in, so pardon our dust- but come drop off some bags and check out all of the fabulous stuff in our "Showroom".  (You can see all of the incredible bags we've got online at www.fashionphile.com and on eBay displayed here "in real life"!)  (Be sure to check the website for our new address, phone numbers, etc.)

Obviously, some of the most amazing shopping destinations in the world are right next door- so be sure to have a few hours to blow, even just for window shopping and people watching!  Be sure to check out the Rodeo Drive Louis Vuitton Boutique, browse the ice at Tiffany & Company and drop by the Grill for lunch.  Then, call it a day!

There's free valet parking for two hours right across the street at the Via Rodeo Shopping Center.  It's such a cute little area, you're gonna love it.  There's also street parking on Dayton Way- and some on Rodeo if you can get it!

We'll get pictures of the place up as soon as we are done arranging things.  Hope you like it :)

Louis Vuitton Comme des Garcons Display

OK, I know, I know... the goal for the look of the new Comme des Garcons X Louis Vuitton pop-up shop was "understated"- but the bag wall displays take the concept to the extreme.  Interesting that bags are "displayed" in such a way that you can see just about as little of the bag as possible.  (Usually, the opposite effect that you'd aim for in a "display")

Louis Vuitton Monogram Pillow

So, I didn't want to post the pictures from the Vanity Fair party that Louis Vuitton hosted at the Rodeo Boutique, because other bloggers have done that.  But I did want to share this picture.

There's some comfy couches on the Rodeo Louis Vuitton rooftop, with some plain cushions... and also these cool almost monogram cushions (notice, no LV).

I got the picture from Anna Umemiya's Blog.  It's in Japanese, I believe, but she's got some nice pictures.  And what a beauty she is!

But anyway, I wanted to post it because I've get emails asking me whether Louis Vuitton has ever made (fill in the blank, lighters, visors, stepping stools, etc).  So, I've been asked through the years whether Louis Vuitton ever did bed sets or throw pillows, and I always answer no.  Exhibit A:

I still haven't seen a bedset, but I guess I'll have to amend my answer about the throw pillows.  No, except...
