So, I don’t know if you’re following Dana Wood (of W Magazine)’s quest for fab Vegan accessories. She isn’t a Vegan, or even a strict Vegetarian… but I think she’s enjoying the challenge of her search for really great Vegan shoes, boots and Bags! And she’s learning quickly how dang hard that search is! So…. I thought maybe we could help her out?
The Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Naviglio has no leather on the outside- just a coated canvas azur damier bag with cotton canvas strap. There’s a smidge of leather leather inside- the trim for the pocket opening and the date code patch (tiny!!!) I mean, it’s really a sporty bag- or good for travel… but not really a party bag.
Luckily, it looks like this may be one of those films that isn’t absolute torture for me to take them too- if only for the chance to checkout Jamie Lee Curtis and Piper Perado (etc)’s wardrobe & bags! (In the trailers alone I’ve seen LV, Chanel and a brief glimpse of what appears to be a gorgie red Hermes Birkin!)
I love that rather than carry her pampered Chihuahua “Chloe” in a proper dog carrier like a Louis Vuitton Sac Chien or Baxter- JLC carries her in a Louis Vuitton Damier Hampstead! OK, so it doesn’t have the waterproof lining of the other two, it looks super cute with a little diamond necklace wearing Doggie Diva poking out!
The Motorcycle and Louis Vuitton have two things in common. Both have been around since the late 1800’s (the motorcycle since 1869 and Louis Vuitton Malletier since 1854). And both make riders irresistible. Exibit B:
I’m so loving the men’s Fall 2008 Damier Graphite Motorcycle Helmet and Riding Boots. I mean, not only are you a safe and sound rider, but you look hot. Damier Graphite is such a cool modern twist on Louis Vuitton’s historic Damier.
Louis Vuitton introduced the original brown Damier pattern trunks in 1888 in response to widespread counterfeiting of both the original Grey Trianon Canvas and the Striped Canvas. They released Damier Azur in 2006 and the Damier Graphite is available for this fall.

They call him the David Beckham of Japan. (Never heard? Take a look). He’s not only about as hot as you can get, is a super talented footballer, and a big fan Louis Vuitton (and fashion in general) but he’s got a big heart for charity.
He managed to get Louis Vuitton to host a charity auction for his Take Action 2008 effort to make a contribution in the world.
So Louis Vuitton did what Louis Vuitton does best: designed an AMAZING limited edition graphite damier hard trunk carrying case for a limited edition football (soccer ball for we yanks!). They offer this as well as a bunch of other graphite, multicolore trunks/ cases… (I’d love more details from someone who was there…)
And when they aren’t jet-setting, they’d look amazing as part of your home decor…
Here they are all wrapped up in their covers…
And all wide open for the world to see… (great drawers/trays in the Alzers)!
Honestly, a real bargain at $19,500. (The monogram Alzer 80 alone for $5800!) These have never been traveled with- they’re just stunning. Check out more pictures her on our fashionphile.com website, or come by for a viewing.

Yeah, I never got that look. I freak out if I realize that a single button’s come undone… but Holly Madison’s Louis Vuitton Damier Papillon 26 serves as a nice distraction.
This is a set of Louis Vuitton Damier hard luggage set that we’ll post for sale here on our FASHIONPHILE website in the next couple days. We put them on a special display in the front window of Alie Waldman’s “Home Couture” at 9009 Beverly Boulevard if you want to see them in person.
They are in about as perfect condition as they can get… and have custom covers as well.
Interesting… the first “just for men” Louis Vuitton boutique opened in Osaka this week. I don’t have many details yet… But I did find some pretty cool pics on Honeyee’s blog. Unfortunately, I can’t read it
But I can look at all the pretty pictures! I love the picture above of the Graphite Damier Piano that was on display at the F/W 2008 Men’s Show. I could definitely see more of that!
OK, loving the Graphite Damier unveiled at Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2008 men’s show Thursday. This was long past do…
and what about the Damier PYTHON hardcases? I mean- I know these were released at the men’s show- and really, LV has a way with manbags… but, I would have no problem traveling with the Graphite Cruiser- Reporter, or any of the hardcases, for sure.
But what I REALLY wanted to see was the Graphite Damier Yamaha Grand Piano that was playing for the show. If anyone got a picture- please send it over!!!
