Ahhh, love these! Behind the Scenes with Madonna & Marc Jacobs for the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2009/2010 ad campaign shot by Steven Meisel.
Funny, cause the "Bunny Ears" never said "French courtesan" or "French coquette" to me... but apparently, that's what they're saying to Marc.
I mean, other than the fact that she looks part robot, part mannequin (which must be the heavily photoshopped look they were going for)... I actually like her in the bunny ears for this one! And there's something modern and fun about the colors and visual effect of the shot that I really like!

"Models, shmodels. Last night's Costume Institute Gala, as many papers this morning would have you believe, was all about Madonna. Screw the vintage Scavullo photographs of Lauren Hutton, screw Brooke Shields's infamous Calvins from the eighties, screw Gisele in her fabric scrap of a minidress, but most of all, screw Kate Moss's turban. None of those things matter when Madonna shows up looking like a cleaning lady moonlighting as a stripper who washed her Xanax down with one too many margaritas before she changed outfits. Because on a night dedicated to the world's most beautiful women, no one — especially a non-model — could win by trying to look the most beautiful. You know I don't like doing "Who wore it better" between models and ordinary folks- it just isn't fair. But, let's face it... Madonna isn't ordinary.
And in honor of the "Model as Muse" theme for the Met Musium of Arts Constume Institue Ball, I thought I'd compare Madonna's look to Hanne Gaby Odiele... the model on the left above at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 show in the same outfit..
Honestly, I actually like the way that the bodice fits Madonna way more. She fills it out. Madonna is tiny, don't get me wrong- but all that Pilates must be working, cause she's definitely got curves in the right places.
But what happened with the Bunny Ears? Who the heck picked out bright teal blue ears to go with that earthy, sage blue dress? They don't work at all. Poor Madonna looks visibly uncomfortable- and I totally feel for her- I'd be sweating it too!
But, you know what- when done right... I actually quite like the Louis Vuitton bunny ears! Here's Jessica Stam working those ears- (notice, they are totally not working her):
See what I mean? Jessica's got Madonna's black LV thigh-highs as well... and the whole thing just works. Black ears would have been so much better with Madonna's ensemble.
This is just another demonstration of the importance of getting good advice. A good stylist is worth her 95 lbs in gold!

Can this possibly be true? They're saying that Madonna's current boy toy, "Jesus Luz" will join her in shoot for Louis Vuitton shot by Steven Meisel. It was reported in the Cut... which is reputable, but their source? Made in Brazil?
Jesus Luz first joined Madonna in that raunchy W Magazine spread in March. And apparently she couldn't quit. So he ended up following her to New York and basically everywhere else she went. I thought they were "off again"... but who knows.
What is it about a Madonna and Jesus hook-up that just seems so very, very wrong? You couldn't make this stuff up!!!

Looks like Madonna's in for another go... I mean why not? The last one got tons of press- and she and Marc have a little mutual love fest going on. It's always good for the shoot when the behind the scenes chemistry is good. Meisel's doing the pictures again... and I can't wait to see them!
Looks like star of the next "Core Values" Louis Vuitton Journey spot has been chosen. They picked another oldie (but goodie!), Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon! Annie Leibovitz is doing the shoot, and they are headed out to a desert somewhere in the US for the setting. Apparently, he's gonna be pictured with astronauts Jim Lovell and Sally Ridge.
Notice the trend here since the Aggassis? Catherine Deneuve (1943), Gorbachev (1931), Keith Richards (1943), Sean Connery (1930), Francis Ford Coppola (1939)- ok, so Sofia was in the shot too... and she's clealy young since she's just a year older than me 
and finally, the youngster of the bunch, Madonna (1958).
In Louis Vuitton's Stephen Sprouse Day Glow graffiti? Madonna's orange? Agyness' green or Paris' pink?
