Another one bites the dust…

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Police just nabbed $25 Million in fake Louis Vuitton bags, Nike Sneakers, and Duracell & Panasonic Batteries of all things (I’m not making this up). Wow. Read the story from the New York Times.

Looks like it was the warehouse runners who got arrested. It’s always the runners, the street vendors & people selling out of their garages who get busted. Where are the guys at top? Find them, and we might make some progress.

Marc Jacobs Tongue Out

Wow… you gotta read this in New York Magazine’s Fashion Section, the Cut.  It’s an unbelievable, no holds barred, aim for the jugular review of the T-Style spread that the New York Times did on Marc Jacbos.

A few lowlights:

“Marc Jacobs has been hovering near the overexposed danger zone for some time. Thanks to the spread T:Style devoted to him and French actress Elodie Bouchez clad almost entirely in stuff designed by him, he’s finally crossed over”

On NYT’s quote “everyone seems to neglect his work at Louis Vuitton and for his own label”-

“Really? We were pretty sure no one’s been able to stop talking about it and magazines have been continuously saturated with it, but hey, it’s not like we read this stuff all day or anything.”

Then they proceed to comment on each of the pictures in the spread.  It’s a totally interesting read- in that, “ouch, that really hurts- but I kind of like it” way.   Just go read it and see what I mean.
