Beyonce’s Louis Vuitton Patchwork Tribute gifted?

I know, I know... supposedly, Louis Vuitton doesn't do that.

But, Beyonce was one of the 5 US and 24 worldwide lucky ladies (or gents, I suppose) who got one of the infamous Louis Vuitton Patchwork Tribute bags... remember?  The ones that cost $52,000?

Well, I thought these were interesting quotes from Beyonce in UK Glamour:

"I probably get about 15 bags sent to me a month. Armani gave me this croc bag, which was huge - I could only imagine how much that thing cost. It would be so expensive that even I wouldn't buy it.

"There are some bags that are pretty hot. But then I haven't bought myself a Hermes Birkin bag because I think they are just too expensive."

So was the Tribute gifted from Louis Vuitton?  I mean, a non-exotic Hermes Birkin is almost cheap in comparison.

And, BTW... Beyonce, if you're reading this.  Why not get rid of some of that baggage?  You know we'd love to help you do it!  You're not hurting for cash- but if you want to donate the proceeds to charity, we can help you there too!

So, Miley and her new boyfriend, Justin Gaston were spending some quality time with Miley's mom Tish at Universal Studios this weekend.

I thought it was so cute that mama Tish is wearing Miley's old Louis Vuitton Denim Patchwork Bowly for the outing!

Again, it's possible that they all just really like this style and everyone bought one- but I like to think, like US Mag tells me... that, "Miley's just like US!" & is keeping it in the family.  I know I love to raid my sister's closet!

I think Jennifer Hudson’s mom would approve

As she was cruising through her Sex and the City promotional interview circuit, Jennifer Hudson was asked over and over again whether she got to keep any of the amazing handbags that she carried in the movie (the LV Denim Patchwork Bowly and the LV Richard Prince Firebird that Carrie gives her for example...). But alas.. no go!

Apparently, Jennifer, like so many of us out there is a total "purse girl". But she keeps herself in check. She got some solid advice from someone who knows:

"My mom says, 'Don't touch nothing you can't pay for.'"

Such wise words. With the economy on a rough ride, the housing market struggling and the weak dollar... it's a great time to look for relative bargains for the bags we can't live without.

Friends with (LV) benefits: The Miley & Mandy Show Pt. 2

Poor Miley's getting some bad press lately. I guess all the hard work she's been doing to get her name, face etc. all over the place is working. We're all looking now.

So this is Part 2. of Miley & Mandy, Friends with (LV) benefits. On the left you see Miley with her Louis Vuitton Denim Patchwork Bowly. A few months later, we have (on the right) Miley's BFF, Mandy with a Louis Vuitton Patchwork Bowly.  (Mandy's has the back facing front in the picture above.  The length of the handles is the first clue that this isn't a Louis Vuitton Patchwork Speedy.)

The truth is- the one that Mandy's carrying does look blue to me (Miley's is for sure black)... so maybe it isn't a Miley hand-me-down after all.
