Richard Prince Louis Vuitton Graduate

**READ ON FOR INFO ABOUT OUR HUGE SALE THIS WEEK**

Christmas is around the corner, and the economy is down the tubes!  But that doesn’t mean that you can’t get that fabulous authentic Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Marc Jacobs (etc. etc.) handbag you’ve had your eye on!

This week only, we have posted ALL of our eBay auctions this week as 99¢ NO reserve auctions.  We start them out and then just let them go.  We got a few of our regular consignors to agree to the sale- and the rest are things that we’ve purchased outright.  I’m feeling a little nostalgic, because those of you who have been with me for years, know that we only started using reserves a few years ago.  We were ALL no reserves for years before that!

Like the authentic pre-owned Louis Vuitton Richard Prince Graduate jokes bag pictured above?  It’s currently up only up to $721 on eBay- no reserve.  Naturally, we hope it goes higher- but we’re letting it go for what YOU think it’s worth!

Reuter’s announced yesterday that Recycled (pre-owned) is the way to go in a down economy… and we couldn’t agree more!   Don’t miss our auctions this week.

Click on any of the images below for a sneak preview.  All listed at huge bargains, with no reserve!

 the Beverly Hills Hotel vintage

Oh shoot!  So, the story is that this business guy staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel (you can see this outside our window- directly across the street from our office!) was seduced by a woman… they went to his room, he poured some drinks, and next thing he knows- he’s waking up in a drugged stuper after sleeping like a baby till 9:30 am!

The woman had taken off with $35,000 worth of stuff:  Louis Vuitton wallet, Hermes watch, Prada shaving kit, Rolex watch, Ray Bans, Dolce & Gabbana shirts, etc. etc.

Detectives are looking for more guys who may have had a similar thing happen, but were too embarrassed to report it.  They’re promising anonymity to victims of similar crimes and are giving out the Beverly Hills detective hotline at (310) 288-2656 for tips.

Ladies and Gentlemen, check your windows…

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Wow.  Check out this sad article about a woman who just had $20,000 worth of her ”largest, most valuable and newest” handbags stolen out of her closet in her home- while she was out during the day.  Apparently the thieves climbed in a bathroom window.  :(

She lost Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Coach etc.

Locks, alarm systems and insurance, folks… just a reminder.

 Dana Lisi Klein

Yipes.  Looks like another big bust.

This is Dana Lisi Klein.  She looks like a nice enough person.  How in the world did she get wrapped up in the ugly world of the counterfeit trade?

Detectives picked up $526,000 in fake Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Christian Dior, Prada and 16 other labels that Ms. Klein has allegedly been selling out of her “Dana Klein” store.

It’s actually an interesting story- how she got caught, how she got her stuff, etc.   PI’s coming in the store- buying fakes, getting them authenticated etc.

Remember people.  Fakes aren’t just tacky.  They hurt people.

Not your typical $30,000 trunk!

Friday, February 29th, 2008

We deal in authentic pre-owned Louis Vuitton trunks… you know- the fabulous vintage variety.

Well, apparently $30,000 in luxury bags were found in a different kind of trunk:  the trunk of a Cadillac.  It seems that cops had been doing surveillance on a route used by suspected drug smugglers.  After a routine traffic violation, the police found three men in the Caddie.  Long story- short, the cops checked the vehicle and found 35 Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and other luxury bags retailing at between $600 and $3000. They are currently being authenticated.

Hmmm, it’s hard to say at this point- but Drug Smugglers do tend to like to flaunt their success with luxury labels paid for in cash that they need to launder. This could actually be a police auction that’s worth going to! Read the story here.

Luxe Retailers Concur: You CAN have too much of a good thing!

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Hmmm, interesting article from The New York Times about the policies of many Luxury retailers who put a limit on the number of luxury bags you can buy.

Interesting tidbits:

  • Quotas for boutique & online purchases
  • SA at Louis Vuitton (speaking anonymously said customers will be asked “why” if more than one item is sought)
  • Policy meant to prevent items from being resold
  • Similar practice followed in Paris since early 2000- especially to target Asian shoppers :(

Of course, we don’t discriminate here at FASHIONPHILE!  If you ever find yourself shut out from being able to buy the luxe bags that you are looking for- be sure to check FASHIONPHILE!

We’d be happy to offer you anything that we sell on our www.fashionphile.com website or our weekly authentic auctions on eBay.com!
