No, this isn't a spot from Louis Vuitton's award winning Core Values "Journeys" ad campaign... and I don't believe it was even shot by Annie Leibovitz. But it could have been!?!
Louis Vuitton has partnered up with Park-Hyatt... and this is the first fruit!
This is John Nollet- hair stylist for the stars, and the amazing bespoke monogram trunks that Louis Vuitton created specially for him- fitted for all things hair!

Nollet is the genius behind that amazing shock of black dreds on Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow! But he is most famous for being responsible for the Amelie bob!

So he's beginning a "Hair Room Service" tour, where he's spending 9 months in different Park Hyatt hotels around the world. Of course, for a tour like that- he'd need only the best in luxury luggage! And who does custom luggage like Louis Vuitton?

Read more about Nollet and his amazing tour here... Times Online
Pics from Park Hyatt and John Nollet's fab website!!! Be sure to CHECK IT OUT!!!

Louis Vuitton likes to build these fancy Eiffel Towers out of cool monogram hard pieces- and you know what, I never get board of it. I actually don't think I've ever seen one with a golf bag on top. It must have been HUGE!
This one was from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel's Grand Re-Opening "Royal Gala".
The Royal Hawaiian also has special luxury "Kamehameha Suite" with a Louis Vuitton "LV Luxe Voyage Suite theme showcasing it's latest collection". Dying to see it... and to see what that means!
Apparently, during the shindig the other night, in the Kam Suite, there was a waterproof Keepall floating in a tub full of water! Wish I had a pic!!!
Check out the Star Bulletin for more cool pics of the event.

Wow! This collaboration totally kills it! How amazing...
What I love the most is that this is what Louis Vuitton has always done best. They started out doing custom trunks, and for the past 150+ years, the customization still looks very much like the original pieces. And don't get me wrong- I LOVE that.
But this is a totally modern twist on that... a set of luggage that fits the look and feel of the new Infiniti Essence. It's the historic, iconic Damier Monogram- but in the modern Graphite, and obviously sleek lines and look that mirror the car!
What do you think??? And who the heck is the lucky SN?

No, this isn't some trick math question... The Japanese car company, Infiniti has teamed up with Louis Vuitton for a set of custom to fit luggage for an extra special 20th Anniversary Concept Car.
The picture above is of Shiro Nakamura- Infiniti Design's Senior Vice President. He's picking up one of these custom Damier Graphite pieces from the Louis Vuitton Roppongi, Tokyo Boutique.

It will be released at on March 3 at the 2009 International Geneva Motor Show.
I love anything bespoke! Remember these custom fitted moogram Louis Vuitton pieces for Spyker Automobiles?

I love Bobbi Brown! She's just so classy.
In January's In Style Magazine, she's hawking her new book, "The Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual"... and she talks about her "First Splurge" being the antique Louis Vuitton Monogram trunk that she bought years ago in London.
She also talks about it in an interview about the book with the Financial Times that came out yesterday, in an article you can read HERE. She lists one of her "Favorite Things":
"A Louis Vuitton trunk. It’s my favorite piece of furniture and is very old. I bought it in England at a cool antique place. I know it cost a fortune but because I’m not good at math I’ve no idea how much we spent."
Honestly, decorating with Louis Vuitton trunks and other luggage just makes any living space look more amazing. Be sure to send an email to jesse@fashionphile.com if you're looking for a antique Louis Vuitton trunk, or stop by our Showroom. We have tons to choose from!

I like to blog about decorating with Louis Vuitton trunks- and I've got a really cool blog I'm working on now about that... but I found this little article about Marc Jacobs' Paris apartment on Decorno- a decorating blog. The pics are from November 2000 Homes and Gardens...
I couldn't tell if MJ was decorating with his Louis Vuitton monogram luggage- or if it's like our shoe pile. Just a stack of stuff he's chucked there after coming in the front door.
Be sure to check out Decorno for more pics of MJ's place...

I just got off a really cool call- and it made me think of some new pictures I'd seen in FCH Magazine of the decorating that Tommy Hilfiger's done with vintage Louis Vuitton trunks. I blogged a while back about his fabulous library- and the amazing juxtaposition of his vintage French trunk by his American as apple pie Warhol "Uncle Sam" painting. Just love it!!!
But I can't get enough of the living room shot above! I mean- I love the African thing going on (poor little Zebra) together with the original American, "Geronimo" (again by Warhol) and the totally French Iconic Louis Vuitton monogram trunk. AMAZING!!!
And... if you read my blog- you know I LOVE a little customization in the paint department on these things. So, I'm digging the trunk below. The red and black paint really pops and just gives it that even more unique touch.

If you're interested in a similar look... be sure to email Jesse our trunk guy about what we've got available and what your needs are! He works with local Interior Designers, collectors and other folks just looking for cool vintage Louis Vuitton and Goyard trunks!

Love her website! Christina Aguilera has a thing for vintage Louis Vuitton trunks & hard cases. We're just upset that she doesn't have the Damier Alzer 70 that she (well, actually- her assistant) bought from us here at FASHIONPHILE as an organizing tool for her closet!
Christina- we still have 4 more left from that set, if you're still interested! We'll give you a nice deal!

First off... love the custom display trunk that Goyard cooked up for Pharell Willliams' Billionaire Boy's Club display at the new and improved Colette in Paris. Goyard is an amazing malletier- Iconic and full of history... and the display looks incredible.
My only thought was... I wonder what the good folks over at Louis Vuitton "think". I mean, they've given Pharell the chance to collaborate on the Louis Vuitton Blason jewelry line- and he's front and center at all the shows, etc. Wonder if they "care" that Pharell had Goyard do the display?
I mean, there are only two real players in the custom luxury trunk business, Louis Vuitton and Goyard. Just wondering if they'd take it as a slight?

Wow. Not only is The Pand Hotel in just about the cutest town you'll find in this part of Europe (Bruges, Belgium- think cobblestone streets, cool little stone bridges & canals- cute shops and cafes... adorable!) but the owners of this little luxury hotel have quite the antique Louis Vuitton trunk and hard case collection- and they are scattered throughout the hotel.
... in bedrooms, like the one pictured above and below.

... and with stacks of suitcases in the lobby:

I love what vintage Louis Vuitton can do for a room- and it so works in this hotel. I am writing this into my Rick Steve's Amsterdam, Bruges and Brussels guide- as a reminder. Don't want to miss it if I get the chance!
Check out The Pand Hotel website- pictures and video. It's an amazing little hotel!
