Item #: 10838

This is one of the crown jewels of the Richard Prince inspired Louis Vuitton creations. This authentic Black, Yellow & Coral Richard Prince for Louis Vuitton Firebird Motard GM is wild and eccentric. You may remember this bag with its starring role in the blockbuster "Sex and the City". It is a Spring/Summer 2008 release, but was very, very limited. You can't get this bag anywhere but here as far as I've been able to tell. The model number is M95746. The materials used are the suede leather body, yellow satin and silk top, pink stitching and pink circular plastic accents on the front of the bag The handles are double rolled linen/canvas blend. Our client got this bag directly from Louis Vuitton. It is a prototype bag. If you google search the Firebird, you'll find that the bag that finally reached the retail market looks slightly different from the one that we have. The D-ring/tag are on the left (rather than right) side. The little turn key looking (it's ornamental not functional) part on the front is in the horizontal position, not vertical. The Richard Prince signature tag is not inside, and there is no date code. We have looked for the P with a circle around it that is often stamped in Prototype bags, but can't find it- and fear that it is no longer visible due to the silk/satin lining. We've included a picture of a display that Louis Vuitton put out called Big City After Dark. In it, the black, yellow and coral bag they used was a prototype, like the one we have for sale here. We've done extensive research on this bag, and are confident that this is an original Richard Prince Louis Vuitton Firebird prototype- it is a very rare piece.
